Baltic Style Weaving on the Inkle Loom
This is not a beginners course. Some experience in warping up an inkle loom and basic plain weave required.
Have you recently fallen in love with inkle loom weaving and looking for new techniques to add to your beautiful handwoven bands? Or have you heard about Baltic style pick-up weaving in your craft journeys and would finally like to find out how it is done?
Come join us for a fun day to learn what Baltic-style weaving on an inkle loom is all about. You’ll be shown the structure of the weave, how to wind on your warp and be ready and weaving in no time.
By the end of the class, you will have completed a handwoven Baltic-style band that can be used for bookmarks, lanyards, straps, trimmings etc. as well as the knowledge and skills to apply this versatile technique to your future projects.

- How to warp up inkle loom for Baltic style pick-up weaving . Structure of Baltic style pick-up weaving . How to read Baltic style pick-up weaving chart and design your own patterns.

Appropriate for
Some previous experience in warping up inkle loom and basic plain weave recommended.
Preparation
What to bring
- Small scissors Ruler Pen/pencils and notebook
- You are welcome to bring your own inkle loom, particularly if you want to warp up a longer project to complete at home. Otherwise, inkle looms, shuttles and yarns will be provided for use in class. Inkle looms can also be purchased from the guild.
