A minimum of 6 participants is required to run most chocolate making classes. If sufficient numbers are not reached one week prior to the scheduled class date, you will be contacted to reschedule your booking. Private classes can be arranged for groups of 6 or more at no extra charge by contacting Rebecca on 0414701477.

Class durations vary depending on the type. Most standard classes run for 1.5 hours, while specialized workshops such as the Bean to Bar course and Chocolate Making Workshop run for 2-3 hours. The online classes with tasting packs are 40 minutes in duration.

Classes focus on hand tempering on marble, a traditional French technique that most commercial chocolate companies no longer use. Depending on the class level, you will also learn moulding techniques, truffle making, piping, enrobing, and chocolate tasting skills. Most classes involve 3 hand tempering sessions to provide hands-on experience.

Items created vary by class type. Common creations include chocolate bars, moulded chocolates, chocolate lollipops, chocolate freckles, truffles, and decorated cookies. All participants receive a sample bag with one of each item made during the class, a certificate of completion, and takeaway materials such as a chocolate handbook in workshop courses.

Yes. The School Holiday Program is designed for children aged 8-16. The Family Chocolatiers class welcomes children of any age with a parent, grandparent, or carer. For children under 8, private classes can be arranged for groups of 6 or more. The Kids Holiday Chocolate Class caters to ages 6-12 and is gluten, egg, dairy, and nut-free.

The Sydney Chocolate School requires 24 hours notice if you are not feeling well; otherwise your class is forfeited. A $15 per person administration fee is charged for any request to change the class date. Private class bookings for two participants are $800.
